For those of you who were wondering, waiting, angsting, coming here again and again and hitting “refresh refresh refresh” (there are some of you who were doing that, right?) …

… “Diamonds in the Rough” will run on Thursday this week, drawing a slightly delayed but firm line in the sand between debuts made BEFORE/AFTER rosters expand from 25 to 40.

So you fans and friends of guys like Juan Abreu, Joel Carreno, Jerad Head, Chris Marrero, Darin Mastroianni, Andy Parrino, Anthony Recker, Eric Surkamp, Aaron Thompson and Anthony Vasquez and possibly Taylor Green and Brian Jeroloman, I haven’t forgotten about you or your guys.

Meanwhile, I sit here anxiously awaiting the release of the rosters for Arizona Fall League, much like Nevin Johnson waits for the phone book in “The Jerk.”

Yes, I AM a geek. But you already knew that, didn’t you?

If any of you reader-folk will be heading to the Valley of the Sun for the first week of games (and I can’t urge that strongly enough, it’s just nirvana for the true baseball fan), let me know!!!
